Craig Miott

Craig Miott

Mr. Miott has over 18 years experience in real estate investment management, development, and consulting. Mr. Miott is the founder and Managing Partner at Khyber Investments LLC, a private real estate investment, development and consulting firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Khyber Investments is a full service real estate investment firm that invests in value added opportunities in commercial and residential real estate across the United States. Khyber Investments also provides advisory services to high net worth individuals and project management expertise to real estate developers.
Prior to Khyber Investments, Mr. Miott worked for the Venture Group of the Marcus and Millichap Companies. Mr. Miott identified and conceived a new $1 billion business opportunity for the company. Mr. Miott successfully developed a business plan to create a new division, now known as Sovereign Investment Company, to deliver sale/leaseback financing to corporate America secured by real properties. Mr. Miott also conducted manager searches, diligence and placement of capital with various real estate related investments for the Marcus and Millichap Companies. Mr. Miott was an advisor to $1.3 billion in real estate investments across all institutional categories including Core, Core Plus, Value-Added and Opportunistic strategies across the United States at the nation's leading independent real estate advisory firm Robert Charles Lesser & Co, LLC ("RCLCo").

At RCLCo, Mr. Miott gained extensive experience in real estate financial management and analysis ranging from acquisition, management, and disposition. Prior to his experience at RCLCo, Mr. Miott was a project manager at Barry Swenson Builder, one of the leading real estate development companies on the West Coast. Mr. Miott was actively involved with the creation of new projects and the daily management of the company's five (5) million square foot portfolio that included high profile office, residential and historic restoration investments such as Jefferson Square Carnegie Square, The Terraces and The Security Building. Mr. Miott previously worked with Merrill Lynch and The Harold Price Center to structure and launch a pilot multi-manager "Urban" Private Equity Fund. Over the years, Merrill allocated over $1.0 Billion to this program. Most recently, Mr. Miott has co-authored a classroom textbook with a distinguished professor at the Anderson School of Business, combining the critical elements of Corporate Finance and Entrepreneurial Management.
Mr. Miott holds a B.A. in Economics and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and a MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Studies from the Anderson School of Business at UCLA.
